The 220/110/20/10 Khovanskaya substation was put into operation, which became the first digital and at the same time the largest power supply center in New Moscow. According to Sergey Kuznetsov, chief architect of Moscow, thanks to the substation, the quality and reliability of electricity supply will increase, and, importantly, the time for restoration of electricity supply will be reduced.
The construction of the substation has been carried out since the end of 2018 by Rosseti Moscow Region. The new substation will partially unload the existing power source of the area - the Letovo substation and the 110 kV Lesnaya-Letovo overhead line, and will also provide the opportunity to connect new consumers in the annexed territory of Moscow.
